Encounter Zev Mair!
Zev Mair is a multilingual, neurodiverse emerging artist from Toronto. With a musical background in classical violin, cello, and voice, they have also studied ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and now focus their craft towards choreography and movement direction. Zev has performed in theatre, music videos, and short films, including The Weavers (RCPA 2017), Luna Li’s “Star Stuff” (2017), Feist’s “Century” (2017), and Bloom (2018 Toronto Queer Film Festival). As a choreographer/creator they have created their own works, worked with Dancing With Parkinson's Intergenerational Dance Project (2016-17), and choreographed for Les Frères at the U of T Centre for Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies (2018). They assistant directed and performed in boundary conditions / performance assembly’s Operations (1945-2006): Movements, in Toronto’s Nuit Blanche 2018 and was most recently part of the creative team that made ARTSTAR!!! (Nuit Blanche 2019).
