The world's largest performance design event, The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, finished up on Sunday, June 26th, 2011. During its eleven day run over 40,000 visitors enjoyed exhibitions, installations, lectures and performances at the Veletržní Palace - National Gallery, Prague Crossroads, Piazzetta of the National Theatre and other places around town.

It was a great experience, strongly attended by students and emerging artists as well as more established practitioners. I came away thinking that if these people are the future of theatre, the art form is alive and well...

Pi Theatre invites you to a sneak peek of our upcoming production Livepod - Visions of Vancouver. We'll be holding a public reading of the scripts in progress at the Museum of Vancouver. Admission is by donation to MOV. Come hear these brand new scripts and meet the cast and writers.

This year we’re focusing on the local by supporting seven remarkable Canadian playwrights through commissions, presentations, residencies and productions. Hi, I’m Tilly, and I’m the new Prime Placement administration intern at Pi Theatre! I thought I’d use this blog post to tell you a bit about myself and my background, and the things I’ve been learning and doing during my first few weeks with Pi.

This weekend the Playwright’s Theatre Centre on Granville Island was the venue for Catalan Connection – readings of three plays from Catalonia, Spain, presented by Pi Theatre, Tant per Tant Saskatoon, PTC Vancouver, and Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal. The purpose of the project was to introduce the playwrights and their work to international audiences and theatre professionals.
