The world's largest performance design event, The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, finished up on Sunday, June 26th, 2011. During its eleven day run over 40,000 visitors enjoyed exhibitions, installations, lectures and performances at the Veletržní Palace - National Gallery, Prague Crossroads, Piazzetta of the National Theatre and other places around town.
It was a great experience, strongly attended by students and emerging artists as well as more established practitioners. I came away thinking that if these people are the future of theatre, the art form is alive and well...

This weekend the Playwright’s Theatre Centre on Granville Island was the venue for Catalan Connection – readings of three plays from Catalonia, Spain, presented by Pi Theatre, Tant per Tant Saskatoon, PTC Vancouver, and Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal.
