We were very happy to be able to work with an illustrator for after the quake - it's not often we get that opportunity. Edward Kwong was just the right fit - he's a huge Murakami fan and in fact his web portfolio had a Quake illustration up that he'd done just for fun.

Pi has really enjoyed the partnerships we established for After the Quake with Vancouver's National Nikkei Museum and Heritage Centre and the Bulletin, a journal of Japanese community, history, and culture. These organizations both work to share Japanese Canadian culture with Vancouver.   It's been great to connect to Vancouver's Japanese community through these groups. Let me introduce myself and give you a glimpse into the life of an administrative assistant at Pi Theatre!

As I had to perform an internship as part of my studies in Cultural Management, I decided to take this occasion to leave France for a few months and to see what’s going on on the other side of the globe.
