Guests included award winning playwright and director Daniel MacIvor, former Artistic Director of both the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and the National Arts Centre (English Theatre) Marti Maraden and director and educator extraordinaire, Arne Zaslove. Each of these people brought huge enthusiasm and insight to...

Welcome to Pi Theatre's 24th season! I'm very excited to bring you the western Canadian premiere of Morwyn Brebner's translation of Evélyne de la Chenelière's beautifully human portrait of Bashir Lazhar, starring one of Vancouver's finest actors—David Marr. We're also extremely pleased to be bringing back Carole Fréchette's John & Beatrice, brought to life with the new and powerful paring of Patricia Drake and Vincent Gale. These two plays represent the very best in Quebec drama and reflect our mission to provide a theatrical lens through which we can view the world in new and exciting...

“What a show! That’s a brave beautiful nightmare. The most bracing, electric and terrifying s slap of raw meat poetry I have ever seen.”

Bill Marchant
Head of Acting, Vancouver Film School

"Pi Theatre has established an important place for itself in Vancouver's theatrical ecology by bringing us cutting-edge plays from England, Ireland, Quebec, and the rest of Canada that haven't been seen here before. This exciting work has positioned Pi as an indispensable lynchpin between the larger, more mainstream companies and the fringe."
