Speaker Series: Evan McCuish

You are here

After every performance of The Events, Pi will be hosting a discussion. We have some amazing speakers coming in and want you to join us.

We're excited to welcome Dr. Evan McCuish, assistant professor at SFU, who will join us at our matinee performance on January 27th. McCuish will be offering his perspective on psychopathy, violence, and young offenders, and their representation in the play.

McCuish is the Co-Principal Investigator and Project Director of the Incarcerated Serious and Violent Young Offender Study, the largest and longest-running study on young offenders in Canada. His research interests include the assessment of psychopathic personality disturbance within adolescent offender populations, including the relationship between symptoms of psychopathy in adolescence and continued offending in adulthood. His work is published in the International Journal of Forensic Mental Health, Psychological Assessment, Crime & Delinquency, Justice Quarterly, and Journal of Criminal Justice.

Whether you're seeing the show on the 27th or not, please come join us for a drink and join in on the discussion! Everyone is welcome!
