The Events

The Events is a moving play about a faith-shattering act of violence. This gutsy work sets the pain of a mass-shooting survivor against the stolid, consoling presence of a community choir. While The Events struggles with violence, it also explores how we find empathy and common ground inside a tragedy.

The Events runs at the Russian Hall and is presented with the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival.

Tickets are $26 for January 17 preview and 2pm shows, & $31 for 8pm shows. All tickets are general admission and will have a service fee of $3 added.

Dates: January 17 - 20 and 23 -...

Climate Change Theatre Action

From October 1st through November 18th, groups around the world will be taking part in Climate Change Theatre Action with The Arctic Cycle.

For this event, Pi will be joining our colleagues at The Only Animal in producing an afternoon of artistic response to climate change by some of Vancouver's finest artists. Companies will choose works from the readings and performances intended to bring awareness to, and foster discussion around, climate change.

Pi’s contribution will be a performance of Jordan Tannahill’s elegant Nocturne, a music centred mediation on the daily extinction from the world...

The Events

The Events is a moving play about a faith-shattering act of violence. This gutsy work features Claire, a priest and choir leader who has survived a mass shooting. Shattered and bereft, she looks for answers that may lead to some kind of affirmation of hope and faith. In this soul-searching work, the presence of the choir represents the most beautiful aspects of our shared humanity.

Lady Parts

Boobs was the first episode of Lady Parts, a series in the 2017-2018 Pi Provocateurs Presentation Series. This premiere presentation was a titillating evening of exploring body issues of all kinds.

Whether you have boobs, want ‘em, or are scared of ‘em, you’re going to be motor-boated with hilarious jokes. The unrealistic beauty standards our society sets for women are so ridiculous, they hardly need a send-up but join us as female comedians bounce, jiggle, and lactate their way through a night of perky parody. #TigOlBitties

For this sold-out event, Katey and Cheyenne were joined by Emmelia...

Genetic Drift

Meet Gary 3, a human/creature hybrid who has come to visit us from the future to tell us about the circumstances of his life and the world. Welcome to Genetic Drift.

Genetic Drift introduces a world where global temperatures have risen, and so in response to impending extinction, society has spliced human DNA with life forms that can survive in extrememly high temperatures. This show explores not only the ramifications of climate change, but also the ethics of science.

Multi-media elements, along with Gary's intimate visit create a truly immersive experience not to be forgotten!
